We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ben Archer has joined our practice on a part-time basis. In his spare time, he can be seen with his wife Valeria, who is an endodontist at Newport News.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr Kyu enjoys travelling, playing tennis and golf and supporting the England football team in Liverpool. He spent his childhood as a cross country and athletics coach at Norfolk Collegiate High School and graduated from high school in Richmond, Va., before moving to Chesapeake VA at age 17. After finishing his seven years in Richmond, he decided to return to his home in Ches Baltimore to found Hampton Roads Endodntics. In 2014, he began his 11th season in country / athletics, coaching both men's and women's teams at Virginia State University.
He was accepted into the endodontics program of VCU and graduated in 2006 with a PhD in Dental Surgery (DDS). His stay in Richmond was extended by two years at the University of Virginia, where he obtained his endoidentical certificate and his Master of Science in dentistry. He then completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and attended the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University, where he received his PhD in pediatrics in 2009. He then went to Virginia State University for his Master's degree and in 2010 to Washington University in St. Louis, MO, in the United States (USO) for a two-year stay in pediatrics, with a PhD in podiatrics and a Master's degree in pediatrics.
After training as a medical assistant, Dr. Archer was stationed at the US Army Medical Research and Development Center (NMCP) in Fort Bragg, NC, for two years. He then served as an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and attended the NMCP Residency Program as part of the Medical Staffing Program (MSP). He was deployed to active war zones of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) as a member of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
After receiving a scholarship to serve in the Marines, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University's dental school and earned a doctorate in dental surgery (DDS) in 2009. To enhance his dental skills and knowledge, he worked as an assistant in the Department of Pediatrics at the VCU College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Williams earned his bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from VCU and his master's degree in veterinary medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from medical school, he earned a scholarship to the Department of Pediatrics at Virginia State University Medical Center (VSU).
After buying Dr. Mrazik's practice in 2016 and starting oral and facial surgery in Hampton, he has been practicing in Hampton for three years. Dr. Trotter is putting his time and talent into donating his services to Hampton Children's Hospital and giving children a smile.

I am the author of several books on foot and ankle surgery and several articles on foot wound healing.
I have full privileges as a member of the board of the American Society of Podiatrics and Medicine and the Virginia Medical Society. I have a bachelor's degree in pediatrics from the University of Virginia and a doctorate in medicine from Bon Secour University Medical Center.
