Hampton Roads Virginia Restaurants
Downtown Norfolk may have finally forgotten a grocery store, but the long-awaited Wegmans grocery chain will open its first location in the city's downtown next month.
A huge new food hall called Granby Station is planned in central Norfolk, where 13 grocers sell food ranging from Indian street dishes to modern Filipino desserts. New Realm Brewing is finally coming to Virginia Beach, and the restaurant promises some of the best craft beers on the East Coast, as well as some great beers from the brewery's new brewery in Norfolk. A new restaurant and bar in the heart of Norfolk town centre has confirmed its first location in two years.
Owner Sam Huang expects to open 16 sites in Hampton Roads and Richmond by the end of the year. Saladworks, which already has sites in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Norfolk and Richmond, will also move from Mooyah to Landstown Commons in the city centre.
Mama Steve's Pancake House, located on Richmond Road in Williamsburg, serves family favorites that will certainly remind you of your mother's home cooking. If you're hungry and have a sweet tooth, visit the Kahiau Bakery and Cafe in Virginia Beach. LV Restaurant has no website, but you can find it at the corner of Virginia Boulevard and Virginia Avenue in Richmond.
The restaurant serves organic chicken and Duroc pork and has teamed up with the Virginia Beer Company, also in Williamsburg, to create a beer-inspired barbecue sauce. In addition to their own brewing line, they also offer hand-brewed - selected guest breweries from the region such as Blue Ridge Brewing Company and Legend Brewing Co. Smartmouth has a bar where they pour a variety of beers to please every palate.

The restaurant, which launched the Farm to Table movement in Virginia Beach, offers a wide range of dishes including pork ribs, pork chops and chicken. Despite the name, Old City Barbeque offers pulled chicken, pulled pork, pork ribs, ribs and more at its Virginia Beach location. This Hampton Roads Bar and Restaurant often serves Filipino and Hawaiian dishes, this time with a fusion flair.
The Virginia beach staple, which also won a vote for best fried prawn, has expanded in its area since it was recently added. The Calypso Bar & Grill features a large covered terrace on the beach serving fresh seafood and excellent cocktails along the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Waterman's by the sea is known for its signature dishes (think bacon - wrapped scallops, freshly squeezed orange crush cocktails and a bartender serving nearly half a million each year).
The ice cream company Blue Cow Ice Cream, founded in Roanoke, has expanded its wings to Virginia Beach and Shore Drive, where handmade ice cream blends with the best seafood in the area. One fish, two fish offer a magnificent view of the water from the dining room, which offers a wide selection of fresh seafood as well as a wide selection of desserts. The Bay Local offers a fun atmosphere for brunch on the banks of the Drive and focuses on sourcing its menu from both banks of the Chesapeake Bay, if possible.
The company has six stores in Hampton Roads and three currently in Virginia, located in Richmond, Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia. The company's other locations on the Virginia Peninsula and Virginia Beach include two in Roanoke, one in Norfolk and one each in Newport News, Norfolk and Richmond.
